So we decided to go away for the weekend, destination Belgium. What easier way to get there than to jump in a car, get the Eurotunnel and come out at the other end, ready to drive wherever takes your fancy. Just the wait, the sheer boredom of being sat inside your car in a moving train carriage - I just could not sit still for very long. So I started playing around with my new G10 - a solid improvement over the G9 which sadly was stolen while on assignment in Genoa.
So I will post a few images here which were done whilst experimenting with the new camera. There is also a second reason for this post: since my archive provider Digital Railcrash has gone out of business, I've been looking around for an alternative, and settled on PhotoShelter. So this is an opportunity to experiment with their embeddable slideshow feature. Fingers crossed...
Nice, just bought a secondhand G9 and am impressed. Reading back through your words, I like your style, like your images and your need to get away from it all sometimes. I live in Tokyo a city of almost no escape, which is part of it`s charm I guess, and it`s good for pictures but the rural getaway pics in the Czach Rep. make me miss Europe, grass, trees and quiet terribly.
ReplyDeleteWell done on the Greenpeace work, been following that for a while although nothing positive gets reported here about Greenpeace and it is tacitly labelled a cult. The Hasting fishermen story is also one of my favourites from your website, as I`m from that area. Such "close to home" work was quite inspirational to me when i planned to move back to the UK this summer.
Many Thanks
