London by Leica

As an unexpected by-product of experimenting with the Leica M9, I discovered my affinity for photographing architecture with the rangefinder camera. Although it does not have tilt-shift, and I rarely use a tripod, I find the following vistas striking... it kindof suits me - using a camera for what it was NOT designed for...

  1. You’re right, Jiri. There are different ways of photographing architecture: The traditional one, trying to isolate the building in question and using large-format cameras, or the more ‘impressionistic’ one, which is more a subjective reaction to architecture. The latter one is the domain of the SLR or the rangefinder. The additional advantage is that you can show the interaction of people with architecture as well.

Have lots of fun with your Leica!
