World's most famous lawn

I must admit - I had no idea how much science and research goes into cultivating the best possible lawn at Wimbledon Tennis Club, venue to one of the most famous Tennis tournaments worldwide.


The somewhat English obsession with the perfect lawn is truly staggering and genuinely scientific: grass type, length, colour, density as well as the underlying soil's rigidity, bounce rate and water absorption capabilities are all carefully researched and optimised by the club's head grounsman Eddie Seaward, a true expert in his field.
